Your mastermind facilitators
Eva Stiekema & Annika Mattes
We are both language service professionals who believe strongly in lifelong learning. As passionate networkers and entrepreneurs, our paths crossed for the first time 14 years ago and we instantly clicked. Apart from the fact that we both work as freelance translators, what connects us is our curiosity and openness when facing new challenges.
Since 2023, AI tools have been increasingly influencing the world of work 4.0, with the language services industry in particular undergoing significant change. Rather than remaining paralyzed by the rapid rise of AI tools and merely observing how the number of AI tools increases day by day, we chose to actively engage with them. We explored how we can leverage AI to enhance and streamline our work as language professionals, while continuously delivering the highest quality for ourselves and our clients.
FAQ
What is a mastermind group?
A mastermind is a group of like-minded professionals who support one another in achieving their goals. It is based on a peer-to-peer mentoring concept that helps members solve their problems with feedback and advice from other group members. Everything shared within the group remains confidential. The mastermind principle is based on collective intelligence, which is multiplied through the experience, knowledge, and ideas of the participants. Together, the group finds solutions to challenges that no one would have discovered alone. From our experience with past mastermind groups, we know that the format empowers participants to grow beyond their limits by giving each other feedback and thereby, motivating, inspiring, and supporting one another.
How will the mastermind be structured?
We meet on Zoom every two weeks. The duration of each mastermind session is 2 hours. The dates are agreed upon individually within the group. Each participant will introduce himself/herself and talk about a problem or challenge in their work. Speaking times are structured to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute. In each session, one participant takes the ‘hot seat’ and receives focused feedback from the group, rotating from session to session. We will also facilitate hands-on units and discussions on a variety of AI-related topics.
Our goal is to help you grow both personally and professionally by gaining valuable insights into the world of AI that you can confidently implement in your daily work. We want you to receive honest input on your questions and problems, and we offer you the opportunity to get optimal support in a closed, confidential setting. To ensure this, we ask everyone to sign a confidentiality agreement.
